About the Moira Productions Name

In Greek mythology the hero Theseus, founder-king of Athens, leads with a drive for social and cultural change. He seeks to uncover his moira, which is an ancient word for personal destiny or fate.

Theseus' moira leads him to the dangerous ritual of bull leaping in Crete. He joins the Bull Dancers and compensates for his small build with agility and ingenuity. The sport requires an acrobatic leap over a bull to grasp its horns.

With the startled jerk of a bull's neck the leaper is propelled upwards, gaining momentum to perform somersaults and other daring feats. The bull is venerated, a vehicle for both motivation and fulfillment.
